OVRO News Privacy Policy

Version of 14 October 2026

OVRO News (ovro.news) is a news website by OVRO CONNECT LTD about how the internet works, outages, blocks, fuel and prices. No sign-up is needed. Here is a short, honest summary of what data we process and why.

What is stored in your browser

The site language, theme and your cookie choice are stored only in your browser, so the site opens the way you set it up.

Anonymous statistics

Without cookies and without storing IP addresses, we count which pages are opened, how long a visit lasts, where visitors come from, country and city, device type, system, browser and language. These are totals; a short event feed is deleted after 2 hours and session records after 24 hours.

Google Analytics — only with your consent

Google Analytics does not load until you consent. If you click “Accept all” or turn it on in the cookie settings, Google stores the _ga and _ga_* cookies and counts page views and navigation. Advertising features and Google Signals are turned off. You can withdraw consent in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site.

Outage monitor

If you report a problem with a service, we store only the service, reason, region, network operator, connection type, when the problem started and device type — no IP address, name or contacts. Records are kept for up to 8 days.

Ads and partners

The site shows ads for Refuelia and OVRO partners marked “Ad” or “Partner”. These are ordinary links: we do not share your data with advertisers and only count total views and clicks. The advertiser’s own rules apply on their site.

Links to sources

News items link to media websites and Telegram channels. Their owners are responsible for how those sites handle data.

Hosting and protection

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks and bots.

Your rights and contact

You can withdraw consent to analytics at any time in “Cookie settings”. Send questions and data deletion requests to [email protected].
